Samarium cobalt magnet

Samarium cobalt magnet, also known as SmCo magnet, is another type of permanent magnets. Samarium cobalt magnets are made of an alloy of samarium and cobalt. Their strength is similar to neodymium magnets, but SmCo magnets have higher temperature ratings, higher coercivity and great corrosion resistance.
Therefore, SmCo magnets can function in applications that run on extremely high or low high temperatures. It is still the first choice magnet for adverse or high-temperature environments.

Samarium Cobalt Magnet Applications
Samarium cobalt magnets, It has:
- Extremely resistant to demagnetization. Good temperature stability (maximum use temperatures between 250 °C (523 K) and 550 °C (823K); Curie temperatures from 700 °C (973 K) to 800 °C (1,070 K)
- Strong resistance to corrosion and oxidation resistance. It usually does not need to be coated and can be widely used in high temperature and poor working conditions.
It is most commonly used in applications which require high operating temperatures .Some examples are:
- Military applications
- High temperature Motors and Generators
- Automotive/Aerospace (sensors)
- Magnetic pump couplings
- Oil drilling applications
- Cryogenic applications
- marine applications

For large segment, not allow any thin dimension, because the great brittleness Of SmCo easily cause fracture when assembly. Please contact us for more details.

Note:
For Ring, not allow larger outer diameter with too thin thickness or wall thickness
